blog slacker

So a while ago our good friend Caleb came and saw us up here at our new place!
It was so good to see him. We love that kid. He actually drove up to Logan with me when I first met David, so it was cool to have him at our place and catch up and visit. :)
yes...he is wearing a pokemon shirt....haha

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got bored one day while David was at work, so I pulled out my camera.
It's been a while since I've taken pictures.
I love the composition of photos; lines, colors, textures, rule of thirds...
Also, to see the pictures bigger/better, just click on them.

Sorry about the white stripe and the ugly borders...Oh well.

So there's some pictures I took. It was a lot of fun.
I need to take out my camera more often.
Also, I need to learn how to use photoshop...that would be nice.
I was thinking about taking a photo class on campus too.
We'll see what happens.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We went up to Rexburg, Idaho for a friend's SURPRISE birthday party!
It was so much fun. :) His wonderful girlfriend planned it for him.
It was a tie die party with fake moustaches, fun people, and an awesome cake.

Above is the Rexburg temple. It is so pretty!
David showed me around campus at BYU-I and where he lived.
It was pretty cool to see what he saw all the time and to walk around the area.
We also saw my brother and Ryan Kilburn. Mission buddies!
They have been working on that truck forever.
I wonder if it runs yet?!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And....we finally got our wedding pictures back! They are posted on facebook. Well, some of them.
But I love this one with all my heart! <3

Our siblings are the best. :) Look how cute they all are!

=========================================================================

This past weekend we went bowling with our neighbors!
John and Camille are so much fun!

I broke 100 points and got a few strikes! Best bowling in a while ha!
We also went over to Matt & Sam's and watched conference and had lunch. It was a great time for sure. Got to see the little cousins too. So sweet.
I took a few pictures for their fam.

Sam likes all the pictures, but I think I def need to work on them.
Atleast they are some good lookin people.
Guess I just need more practice and a lot of youtube videos!

Well I think that's about it. :) D & B

This week...

Well this week has been pretty cool I guess!

David has been teaching me how to play the guitar, and I can play twinkle twinkle little star - it is still not perfect, but that's because I don't really practice...whoops. But seriously, it hurts your fingers!

My hubby is the bomb.
He hung up all this stuff at like midnight.
Just to make me happy, even when he was super tired :)
I am pretty sure I want a red rug now, but not 100%.
I am just experimenting I guess, suggestions?

On Saturday David's work was throwing a lunch party thing. It was pretty cool, we got a free meal and a camping chair. There was a lot going on, a rock climbing wall, jumpy house, mechanical bull, a raffle drawing with prizes. We didn't win this time, but that's alright. We got our chair and food!

Grandma and Grandpa Adam came to town!
It was so good to see them again, feels like its been a while! I guess that's what  happens when you grow up with them your whole life and don't see them for a little while! We had them over and had Tacos for lunch, and then they took me out to dinner at the Beehive Grill. (poor David had to work) It was nice to be able to show them our area and catch up. They have also been on an awesome road trip for 16 days and showed us some beautiful pictures! Now it's everyone else's turn to visit. :)

We should be getting our wedding photos this next week! YAY!
Oh. And I made this delicious soup.
----------Try it!----------
That's about it for right now! :) - D & B

Labor Day Weekend

We have a new cousin! Payton Layne Baker. She is adorable! Congrats to Matt & Sam :) We are all so happy. She is so stinkin' cute! We love her and are so glad she is here and healthy.

Don't we just look so natural...hahaha I love her! So cute.

Here is David setting up our TV stand, lotssss of pieces. All over the place. He's such a man...using our pink tool set ;) I love that toolset; we got it as a gift from the Humbert's for our wedding! It has been so handy so far, like wow. Plus, its cute.

It looks so good! I love that stand.
And much thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Baker!
They are letting us borrow their TV :)
They are so kind. Eventually we will get our own. Maybe black friday?...hm.

There are our barstools that we got a few weeks ago, and now we finally have our couch!
I am sooo happy! YAY! Now we don't have to hang out upstairs 24/7.
It's funny how much you take things for granted until you have to buy them...
By The Way. Couch = Amazing. <3

Andddd, here's silly David being a goob. He's so cute. :)

That's about it. Til next time. <3 D & B

married life

WEDDING! <3

Well...we are married now! Finally! :) It is the best thing ever. I love being with my husband in our own place and space. And really its kinda weird that we have our own place. I still don't know if it has totally hit me yet, maybe because we haven't gotten all of our bills...hahaha but that's right around the corner. Yay for adulthood...ha well anyways. Here's some pictures from the wedding day! JULY 30th 2011 in the Sacramento Temple.

HUSBAND AND WIFE -- OH SO HAPPY :D

                   OUR AMAZING FAMILIES.

They did so much to make our wedding day perfect. There really are no words to describe how thankful I am to both sets of my parents. They did so much for us, everything was perfect, and I don't even know how I will ever get across to them how much it means and how much I love them. They are the best <3 Not only did our parents help, but our siblings and aunts and friends as well and I am so thankful. We had a reception in california the night of the wedding and the following saturday we had an open house in iowa. I was shocked by how many people came to see us and support us and congratulate us, I feel so blessed. And it was so cool to go out to iowa and see the corn and lightning bugs and lightning storms and to see the area where my second family lives. Its pretty nice! Kinda humid though...ew. ;) And my brother Austin slept through the  whole open house on the couch in the living room in his suit...ahhh I don't think anyone will ever forget that one! So funny!

HONEYMOON!!

So we went on our honeymoon in between the california reception and the iowa reception.
We decided to head down to Santa Cruz! It was a blast! We went to the Mystery Spot, The Beach Boardwalk, Pebble Beach, Monterey, and we went Skydiving!

Loved the beach! It was so nice. I wrote my new name in the sand. :)
It was nice and breezy that day too as you can see from my hair flying all over the place!

So there's a few pictures from the honeymoon, we loved it and it went by way too fast! But we say we are always on our honeymoon :) Just always happy and having fun!

HOME.

Well, after all of that adventure we are finally home and getting back into the swing of things. It took us a while to get all of our stuff put away and organized and both of us working full time on top of that. It has been really nice though! :) So far we still have a pretty empty place. We have our bed, which is super comfy! I never want to get out, and we also bought some barstools so now we have a place to sit downstairs! YAY!

So these spiders are the scariest things ever. I literally cry when I see them. I only kill them with David's shoes and I leave marks on the walls and David has to pick up the dead spiders when he comes home. EW :( I called him one night to see if he would be home soon and described the spider as being as big as africa. Literally these are the size of half dollars. I have never been so creeped out in my life. IDK if I can take it!!

Well I think that's about it for now :) Hope you're all caught up on us. We are still waiting for our professional wedding photos, so I am way excited to see them! Well we love you all <3 B & D

TOWNHOME

So we got our townhome! We have the keys and everything, like super official. So that is the best news of this week--otherwise this past week kinda sucked...dealing with irritating people. Banking. Townhome stuff. Lost invitations. You know how life is sometimes, no big deal. We get over it :) So here are some pictures!!

Sierra Cove Townhomes

Here is a picture of our front door and our parking spots!! Yes, we have two. :) How nice.

Here I am sitting on our counter! Holy cow...we have our own counter haha but we have nothing to put in the house. We have a front room and our kitchen and dining/living area downstairs with a half bath and washer/dryer hook ups as well as some storage space. Upstairs we have two spacious (like huge) rooms with really good closet space and a full bath as well! We love it. So now we just need to pay off our bed and couches and then maybe it will start to look a little more "home-y"otherwise we pretty much only have clothes to move. At least it will be an easy move? You know...with our busy schedule and all.
Well ANYWAYS...we are very excited to head out to California this Wednesday (no work for 2 weeks!) but holy cow...can't believe we are getting married on Saturday! We are so excited to see our friends and family in California and Iowa. <3 D & B
