Our Beginning To Forever

Our Beginning To Forever

A little note to my fam-bam.

Dear Family,
I miss you. I just wanted to let you know.
I have been looking at all the pictures on my computer and crying (happy tears) because:
I miss you.
I love you.
and I can't wait to see you.
Lately I have been missing you a lot. It's been a while and I just want to let you all know how much I really appreciate and adore you all.

Mom,
Happy Mother's Day early. I don't even know the right words to express how much you mean to me and what you have done for me. When I think of you I think of how great of an example you are of kindness, silliness, hard work, and love. You have such a great sense of humor, you're creative, you're supportive, and you are very open minded and let us be who we really are. Not like we are some real freaks or anything, but you love us no matter what. When I think of you I think of how much you hate shopping so you'd always let me go for you and always get a treat wether it was actually candy or a shirt or something nice like that. I remember when I was bored you would always tell me to make a booger ball and I would always get so mad like that wasn't a good idea or something...maybe I should have and just wiped it on your walls like Jeremy... :) just kidding! I have had such fun times with you on little getaways, soccer tournaments, or just at the grocery store begging for anything microwaveable, sugary, or salty. You are such a support to me and I love getting your phone calls and emails with updates on life and the family. And I love the care packages you send too. You mean everything to me and I love you so much!

Dad,
You are the man! As I have grown up more, I have realized I actually really really like you. hahaha That came out wrong, but I know you will understand. I always remember you giving me the lame curfews, and saying no you can't do that, or mom saying "go ask your father" and I would dread it sorta, because you were the mean(er) one uaually...hehe But now I realize it was all for my safety and protection. That, or family time. :) Whenever I think of you I think of our family nights and how you would always sing Book of Mormon Stories and you couldn't remember all the words or we would randomly be at a lacrosse game or watching a movie or something and declare it as 'family night'. Whenever I think of you, Dad, I think of how funny you are, wether you are trying or not. Your funny faces, and calling us rat pukes or whatever else you'd come up with. Your lame jokes at dinner, and always bringing Mom flowers on Mother's Day. And smooching her and smacking her butt in the kitchen...ha You really crack me up and I know so many people love and admire you. (that's why you have a facebook fan page). You really are such a good example of a hard working, diligent, loving, and kind father/husband. I love you and appreciate all you do and all you have taught me!

Jeremy,
You are the funniest and most relaxed person I know. Although we didn't always get along in our childhood and you pushed me into that table causing me a permanent scar on my lip...(ok its not that bad and we were so young we don't even remember) I love you. You have been so supportive of me and my decisions and always lookin' out for me. It has been so fun to establish some of the same friends together and to be able to actually hang out and have fun at the same time! I am eternally grateful for you, mostly because you set me up with David. ;) haha just kidding but that is obviously awesome. You really are such a funny, laid back, easy going, understanding, and considerate guy. I really am so lucky to call you my brother! I love you!

Morgan,
Aka Morgie Porgie. You are one silly little fellow. You really make me so happy and proud. Whenever I think of you I obviously think of all the time I tortured you with wedgies until you got bigger than me, and then I was nice right? :) But I also think of you and how great you are with special needs children and just other people in general and your kind heart. It really makes me so proud to know that you are such a sweet person and care so much about your friends and others. You are also quite the favorite to little kids. Your ability to play with them and use your imagination and connect is so incredible. You are so smart, athletic, and I don't want to say wise (it'll go to your head...) just kidding!!! but you are. You know what you want and where you want to go and you know what is right. I think you are an inspiration and so awesome. I love you Morgalo!

Austin,
Aka little Austy-Man. You as well are so dang hilarious. And cute. Whenever I think of you I picture you when you were like 2 years old. Sorry man, but you were one stinkin' cute little kid with your red hair and your rosy cheeks and your big ol' dimples. That's if you weren't crying, because you did a lot of that too...haha But really Austy, you are so awesome. You are basically a genius. I mean with me as your big sister, how can you not be? ;) No but really, you are so informative, you know more of what is going on in the world than I do and you're like 13. (right?-I'm lame, I know...ha) but you really are so smart! You know all these random facts and ask me questions to see if I know the answer and you always stump me! And you are seriously hilarious. I think you are even funnier because you have had the sense of humor and the mouth of a teenager since you were like 10. Which can be good or bad...but I think its funny. BUT-I still think you should get some dreadlocks with that red hair of yours! Or be a leprechaun for halloween...haha Austin, you really do crack me up and make me so happy. I love you so much and can't wait to see you!

So basically that's what I was thinking about when I was looking at all of my pictures.
I love you guys! Miss you lots and I will see you soon :) <3 Bri

David's Birthday Weekend!

First of all Happy Birthday to my wonderful hubby!! He's getting old...a big 23! :) Unfortunately, we did not take too many pictures for his bday weekend, but that's ok. It feels like it has been forever that we have seen each other for more than 2 hours, so this past weekend was so perfect!

***I need to mention, go see the movie 'The Lucky One'. It is fantastic!
I went with some girlfriends from church and it was so much fun. They didn't want to take a picture. BUMS.

Saturday and Sunday were completely spent just US time.
It was the most enjoyable time spent in a while. We spoiled ourselves a little bit, but whatever!
I gave David some golf clubs for his birthday - thanks Jeremy for the discount!
He loves them. So after lunch and a little nap, we hit the driving range!

Look how cute he is!! AHHH. It was so much fun! We both had some pretty good hits (him more than me) but that's okay. It was really such a nice day! I quit a bit early due to some blisters! I need a glove I guess!

After we went to the driving range, we went to dinner at Chili's (one of our favs) and then we went to the cheap seats to see 'The Vow'. David is so funny, he said that movie was tugging his heart for too long because he could only see the characters as us. haha he's just so precious!

So that was basically our weekend together :)

I also pulled my camera out today. I wasn't feeling too well so I just decided to go out and take some pictures and relax when I got really sick of being in the house. So here's a few.
I went to the temple--so many pretty flowers!!

I don't know why these stinkin' pictures show up crooked!!! When I edit them before I post it isn't! How dumb.

Well that's about it.
We will continue to try not to be boring. :)

Happy Easter!

This year is our first Easter together, and it has been such a fun one. We started off by going to church. Funny story. You know when your alarm goes off and you tell yourself, one more minute and it turns into an hour? Ya...that happened today...luckily we had 28 minutes to get ready and be at church. That's probably the fastest I've gotten ready, and we were early. That is what I call speed my friends!

After church we went over to hang with the fam. We had dinner at Jenny & Kenny's with Matt, Sam & the kiddos, and Whit. We had some yummy steak, cheesy potatoes - my fav - and rolls. It's nice to have a home cooked meal. Well a real one. Mac n cheese I wouldn't completely call a meal...or home cooked. hehe...We also played a really fun game with 'peasants', 'queens', and 'kings'. Needless to say Jenny and I were peasants the whole time until the final round when I ended as the King and I believe Jen was the Queen. Just had to throw that in there. :)

After that, David and I went to the park and fed the duckies some bread, it was pretty fun although it got kinda chilly. We did notice it would be the perfect place to play some frisbee in the summer...maybe minus the duck poop...ha
We also had decided that we needed to have an easter egg hunt. Who cares if we are adults? I certainly don't. It was  so much fun!! I am so glad we did it. Basically I was talking to my friend Cindy and I was trying to figure out a way to make it fun for two...and she said that they used to time each other and see how long it took so it was like a race too. Immediately I knew that was happening. So I hid David's eggs downstairs and he hid mine upstairs and we timed each other and laughed at each other while we struggled to find our eggs. It was a blast. I must say, David is in for it next year...his hiding was RIDICULOUS sometimes..ha
Here are some of his pictures :)

Literally the picture of him sitting on the toilet kills me haha who can find the egg?!

David found all 36 eggs in 9 minutes and 6 seconds!

I hate the room with the water heater!! It is so creepy and gross! I lost the race. I got a time of 13 minutes and 36 seconds. We did decide to take off two minutes due to unfair hiding, but I don't think that was even close to enough! He hid one in the back of the toilet, like where you have to take the top off!! Sick. Since he won I owe him fries and a shake from La Beaus. :) I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Our Mini Spring Break

This weekend David and I had the opportunity to go to General Conference down in Salt Lake City!
We met up with Jeremy and Becca--a congrats are in order for the newly engaged couple!!!
And also our friends Kyle and Megan who live in Sacramento as well.
It was such a fun and quick weekend!

Here is our sweet hotel room. Dave and I shared with Jeremy and Becca at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Also. 24/7 access to the pool and spa - best thing ever...

Just a little quick shot. Happy, happy! :)
We ended up going to dinner at Chilis because we couldn't agree upon anything. Plus our GPS needs to be updated as far as maps and locations...we tried to go to a non-existant Hard Rock Cafe...ugh.

This is us in front of the City Creek Mall. That place is amazing. They have Cheesecake Factory, Love Culture and a Pandora store. Those 3 things win me over right there. We only walked around a fraction of the mall, but I am amazed. It is so pretty! It has fountains, cool architecture, ponds, and sweet stones. Pretty, pretty.

We went to the Hunger Games in the Gateway mall. It was such a good movie! I want to read the books now, I heard they are better. Well, we got out of our movie at midnight, and on our travels to the car, these two were lingering behind us and were engaged by the time we got there! :) CONGRATS!!

Here are us girls after our swim party! It was so much fun :) I love swimming and spa-ing it up!

These are some of our awesome friends, Kyle and Megan. She's originally from Canada and they gave us some candy and chips from there...the candy is good. I have yet to hit the chips. They were married last year and both served in SLC actually!!

These are the crazy boys...haha best friends obvi.

The group :)

We had Chilis chips and salsa in the morning. Breakfast of champions.

David and I went to Conference this afternoon. These are our tickets. :)
And here we are in front of a waterfall that comes down the whole building.

Inside the conference center! TONS of people. It was sweet. Hardly any open seats either.
It was so cool when the prophet walked in too. The spirit was so strong, and everyone stood up and was silent.
It is definitely different than watching it on TV. I would go again for sure!

Here's a cool picture of the temple, and some more of downtown salt lake.
Such a good weekend. That was our spring break. :)

March Madness

This month has been so great! We have been able to see both of our families! (Well partially...) but some is better than none! We saw my family first - Mom, Austin, and Melissa. They came out from California for President's Week. We had a lot of fun going around town, to Pepperidge Farm, bowling, shopping, hanging out at the house, and snowboarding at Beaver Mountain. I don't have too many pictures, or lets say good ones... But here's a few.

Cute little Austy.                            Here we are bowling.                            Tired Mommy.

This was their first time snowboarding, and it didn't end too well for poor Melissa. She broke her wrist, but she's a tough one! Atleast she tried--she says that was the first and last time she'd go boarding. Don't blame her. Austin took some pretty big spills too but he did awesome.

We got to see David's side of the family as well! (Mom, Dad, Chloe, and Whit) They came all the way from Iowa and we were so so happy! (Well Whit lives in Salt Lake City) Literally haven't seen them since our wedding in July. It was definitely about time. And with them coming we also hung out with Jen and Ken, Shauntell, and two of her kids too! It was a short visit but such a good one. We played lots of games, talked, shopped a bit, and went shooting! It was so much fun. We definitely want our own guns now.
<<<< And here's our target. hehe The girls were having a hard time with it. ;)

Here's Shauny, Jenny, and Shannon.                               And such a cute picture of Mom and Chloe!

This gun was so heavy! I couldn't even aim it! Just shot it. But I know I hit some snow. :)

And dang my hubby is good looking. I'm a lucky gal.

Pops in Law. He's the gun-man.

We have had such a great time being able to spend time with our families.
And wish it could be longer.
So that's what's been going on over here. <3 D&B
